I joined the Non-Smoking Club!

Today marks two weeks since I joined the non-smoking club!  I have struggled on and off to quit, and two weeks ago I happened to fall asleep listening to Michael Sealey’s video “Stop Smoking Self Hypnosis ” .  I have not used anything else to assist with the change which is shocking because it has not been an internal fight as with my past attempts.  I have been repeating affirmations to myself that “I am a non-smoker” even before I quit and have listened to the video a couple more times since, but other than that nothing else to help.  I highly suggest giving it a try if you would like to quit smoking.  My hair and clothes smell fresh and clean all day, my skin is clearer, and I feel amazing!  Thank you Michael Sealey!

I have noticed I have more time on my hands and it became clear to me that I smoke when I’m bored.  Tonight I found myself a bit bored while football was on, so I searched up some of my favorite songs on youtube and formed a list.

Tonight’s soundtrack

  1. Lil Wayne featuring Bruno Mars “Mirror”
  2. Alicia Keys “Superwoman”
  3. Tupac “Keep ya Head Up”
  4. 8 Mile Rap Battles
  5. Eminem featuring Lil Wayne “No Love”
  6. Godsmack “Cryin Like a Bitch”
  7. Fort Minor “Remember the Name”
  8. Daniel Waters
  9. Metallica “Enter Sandman”
  10. Katy Perry “Unconditionally”
  11. Katy Perry “Grace of God”
  12. Ani DiFranco “32 Flavors”
  13. Bath Hart “Leave the Light on”

I’m a mother of three beautiful children who have given me the strength in life to be determined in reaching my goals. I am a teacher certified in English and Special Education and truly enjoy going to work every day. I recently completed my requirements to become certified in school district leadership to make an impact on a much larger scale. I have had my fair share of blood, sweat, and tears, but the entire journey has made me grateful and appreciative of all that I have. One strategy I found helpful was to find something every day to be thankful for---focus on the positives in life! My goal with this blog is to do just that---focus on those “little” moments with the hope to inspire others.
